The group shot of pilots: In this case no one took a posed group shot, so I figured I would use this picture as the group shot!

CD's Report

The day started with the risk of rain and an accident blocking I-70 making getting to the contest a problem for some.

The first few rounds were flown in light drizzle but the rain generally went around the field. Launches were from the bike path with the winches angled to the south-west. A staggered launch was used and the task was 5 minutes for rounds 1-2 and 7 minutes for rounds 3-9. Half of the flights achieved the task and 43 of 97 had landing scores.

The following construction guidelines will be followed

(Woody Rules by Ray Hayes):

1. Wing and Stab are built up from wood
2. No restriction on spar construction or materials
3. No Molded D-Tube leading edge construction
4. Fuselage can be wood, glassed wood or molded Fiberglass including the fin
5. Carbon reinforcement can be used on any part of the structure.
