Dayton Ohio
DARTS
2.4 GHz Longest
Flight of the Day
Sunday - October 31, 2010 |
Twin Towers Park, Fairborn, Ohio
|
| |
Sponsored by the DARTS (Dayton
ARea Thermal Soarers)
This event is for 2.4 GHz Spread
Spectrum radio controlled aircraft only and will start
at 11:00 A.M. and end at 4:00 P.M.
Things you need to know:
The longest thermal flights of the day by winch launched
motorless sailplanes win with the CD timing all thermal
flights and the clock being truncated to the whole
second. Sailplanes pilots will hand their stop watch in
at the CD’s table and then walk to a winch to launch.
Landings must be announced to the CD.
There is a entry fee of $2.00. This is not an AMA
sanctioned event.
Longest flight of the day certificates will be awarded
to 3 places. E
lectric powered 2.4 GHz controlled spotter aircraft are
allowed and highly encouraged. Or in other words it’s
an electric fun fly while you wait for your thermal to
come by.
Pilots may arrive and leave and fly when they choose.
If you place the CD will get your certificate to you one
way or another. Aircraft still in the air at 4:00 P.M.
may continue their flight as long as they can.
There will be no landing task or landing points but you
must make it back to the field for the flight to count.
See field boundaries below.
Thanks,
David Rice |
